Meet our passionate staff who serve our church family!

Darren Rempel, Associate Pastor

Darren began serving at Ebenfeld as the Lead Pastor in January of 2020. In March of 2024, due to long-term health issues, Darren had to step away from the Lead Pastor role and is now serving as part-time Associate Pastor. Prior to coming to Ebenfeld, Darren spent over 15 years as an Associate Pastor in churches in Kansas, California, and South Dakota in music ministry and 11 years as the Lead Pastor in churches in Minnesota and Kansas. He has a double major from Tabor college in General Music (Voice) and Contemporary Church Ministries as well as a Master of Divinity degree in Pastoral Studies from Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary (now Fresno Pacific Biblical Seminary). Darren married his wonderful wife, Sherry, in 1990 and they have two daughters, Kaitlyn Rempel and Kylie McCullough, and one handsome son-in-law, John McCullough. Darren enjoys doing yard work and spending time with his family. Darren’s past adventures include growing up in an auto repair shop with his dad and driving semi-truck for a season.

After changing his major multiple times, Cody graduated from Tabor in May 2024 with a major in Adaptive Ministry Leadership and a minor in Communications. Cody credits his experience serving at Ebenfeld and Camp War Eagle, as well as his time at Tabor, as milestones in his call to ministry. In his free time, Cody enjoys reading, spending time with friends and family, and cheering on his favorite sports teams.
